Gabriel Rovňák, Mg.A, Ph.D. is a member of the Bratislava Boys’ Choir and today also its choirmaster. He leads the Choir together with Magalena Rovňáková, M.A., ArtD. With Bratislava Boys’ Choir he has performed at concert stages in Europe, Asia, USA and Canada. In 2014 the Bratislava Boys’ Choir was an absolute winner at the festival Zelioli 2014 (Italy). The choir cooperates with prestigious ensembles and recording studios (Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, the Slovak National Theatre, Wiener Symphoniker, Hamburger Symphoniker, Wiener Staatsoper, Hallmark, Miramax and others). Gabriel Rovňák is a graduate from the class of Jan Zbavitel from the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. As orchestra conductor he has collaborated with the State Philharmonic Košice, the State Chamber Orchestra Žilina, Slovak Chamber Orchestra of Bohdan Warchal, Solamente naturali, Sinfonietta Bratislava, Moravian philharmonic orchestra Olomouc, Philharmonic of Bohuslav Martinů, Zlín and others. He was also choirmaster of Childrens’ Choir Primavera Brno. He graduated from conducting courses of Szolta Nagy and Martin Turnov and attended private lessons from Ondřej Lenárd and Otakar Trhlík. In 2005 – 2009 he was conductor of the Chamber orchestra Blansko.
