One of the most significant, traditional choral competitions in Southeast Asia. In 2018, 11th edition of festival competition brings many new features. Grand Prix Thailand is opened to amateur choirs of all categories and levels. Further details available in chapter „Competition categories & rules”. The competition is held on Saturday July 21, 2018.
It’s the second round of Grand Prix Thailand competition, without age and category differentiation. Qualified are up to 5 best resulting choirs of competition. Additional information is in the chapter „Absolute winner competition rules”.
The opening concert is opportunity for all participants to perform on stage before the competition begins. All ensembles are invited to perform and enjoy this parade of choral art!
Awarding ceremony for participants and public will take part in the concert hall.
Informal meeting of music ensembles’ representatives, conductors and jurors of competition. Opportunity to discuss competition performances and to ask jurors directly for commentaries and pieces of advice.
Attractive workshops for choir singers, conductors and public managed by experienced and known lecturers, focused on different actual topics. Masterclasses are opportunity for individual coaching under guidance of lecturers and judges of competition.
Attractive gala concert in Bangkok, in cooperation with Bangkok Opera Foundation and Siam Philharmonics. All choirs are invited to study together great vocal-orchestral piece and perform at Thailand Cultural Centre in Bangkok
